The American Beefalo International (ABI) and the American Beefalo World Registry (ABWR) merged on November 15, 2008, to form a single national breed organization.

The newly formed organization is called the AMERICAN BEEFALO ASSOCIATION (ABA). There are currently numerous Beefalo breeders and producers across the United States and internationally.
